For our franchise players kept isn't there contract what they are currently getting really in the nfl as far as money is concerned and then we just decide how many years we want to hold em for?

Okay the longest a contract can be in this league is 4 years no matter how long the actual contract is. The minimum a contract can be is 1M so even though Chris Johnson's contract is 400K his contract is worth 1M. Contract totals stry the same all years so if you want Shuab for 4 years at 5M then each season you will have to pay 5M for him

Flacco is making about 4.5m this season (real number is 4.485). I'll take that to 2013. Ray Rice will have to round up to 1m. I'll have him until 2013 also. And then Ed Reed is at 6.5m this season. I'll do him until 2012.
Let me know if I didn't do this right.

Indianapolis Colts Players:
Dwight Freeney: 11.42 million until 2012
Reggie Wayne : 5.95 million until 2014
Peyton Manning: Not sure yet what his cap hit will be. Will update once he has signed his new deal after the lockout is lifted. But I will likely want to retain him through 2014

I am updating Manning's contract here. He signed a 5 year 90M contract. This averages to 18M a year. I will take that for 4 years. Peyton Manning -2014 (18M)
